Supervision Services
Professional learning for developing counselors.
The Growth Haven provides Board-approved Clinical Supervision for pre-licensed counselors working towards independent licensure.
Clinical supervision is a required part of the path to independent licensure for professional counselors. It provides guided experience, thoughtful feedback, and support as you strengthen your clinical skills, develop ethical judgment, and establish your professional identity.
Specific requirements are determined by your state’s licensing board.

What is your work asking of you?
Developing as a counselor involves clinical knowledge, ethical responsibility, and increasing awareness of how you participate in therapeutic relationships.
Our supervision makes room for questions such as:
How am I understanding this client and the therapeutic relationship?
What informs my clinical decisions?
What am I noticing in my own responses?
Where do I need additional knowledge, consultation, or support?
How do I develop a professional identity I can inhabit with integrity?
We attend to the practical demands of clinical work alongside the deeper questions that shape your practice.

How we work.
We examine the clinical work.
Case discussion creates opportunities to consider formulation, interventions, therapeutic relationships, and next steps.
We attend to responsibility.
Ethical concerns, client safety, professional boundaries, and documentation receive deliberate attention.
We develop the counselor.
Reflection and feedback help you recognize strengths, identify learning needs, and build greater independence in your clinical judgment.
You can expect clear expectations, thoughtful inquiry, and feedback connected to your development.
Meet Dr. Norman.
Dr. Norman approaches supervision with a psychodynamic perspective, attention to interpersonal processes, and a commitment to careful clinical reasoning.
Her style combines structure with depth. She invites supervisees to examine what happens between counselor and client, consider their own participation, and develop a more grounded understanding of their work.
Take the next step in your development.
Tell us about your current professional stage, your supervision needs, and what you hope to develop. We’ll discuss eligibility, supervisory fit, available formats, fees, and next steps.
